Wirklich ausgeklügelte Platform, mit tollem Interface und generell sehr einladender Oberfläche. Man kann Stunden darin verbringen.

Its just great

Endlich gibt es die App auch mit Schreibunterstützung und dann das: schreiben geht nur im Hochkant-Modus! Was soll dieser Unsinn?

Die App funktioniert gut, jedoch wird leider kein Querformat unterstützt. Da ich mein iPad fast nur im Querformat benutze, ist die App für mich nicht sehr brauchbar, daher habe ich sie gelöscht.

Es fehlt eine Ansicht für Artikel von abonnierten Autoren.

Medium ist eine moderne Lese-App, welche kurze und inspirierende Texte englischer Sprache in minimalistischem Design präsentiert. Lesedauer, empfohlene Texte, Themenfelder, detaillierte Anzeigeoptionen und vieles mehr runden die Leseerfahrung sinnvoll ab. Eine wertvolle App aus den USA!

wird aber sicher noch verbessert werden, wenn die Macher auf die Rezessenten hören. Social media mit Tiefgang. mehr deutsche Inhalte sollten geschrieben werden.

Und ganz oft ganz toll angeordnet!

Einziger Kritikpunkt wäre die fehlende Möglichkeit die Interessen (Tags) in den Einstellungen zu ändern.

Can’t do no better…( BW )

Medium is a place I enjoy spending my extra moments. It provides me with nutritious food for thought that doesn’t eat up my time. When others are retiring, I’m re-entering the work force and at my age, time is at a premium. Sometimes I do wish you’d make the tiny print a wee bit bigger. Don’t make me have to sleep with my laptop!

There’s nothing more powerful than the WRITTEN WORD. My Mother taught me this lesson first. And it is these stories that keep her alive for me. They are excellent examples of good writing and writers.

Thought this would offer a refreshing long form journalism format. Instead it’s a bunch of AI generated, poorly written articles.

I always scan my email when Medium shows up in my inbox. Pure gold nuggets of ahas.

This is great source to read about interesting topics or just things you already are familiar with. The only issue I have is the spellcheck and the heavy use of AI. Other than that it is an awesome platform.

I remove the app and continue to read from browser the search is not working

I am now a very young 77, and have soent the better part of my life making it up to myself for the abuse I suffered at the hands of my abusive, controlling parents. Of the three reactions, mine was rebellion, against their religious abuse. It took me years of work to heal and become a fully actualized adult. I hope you all know that this is possible. I never married or had children, but I have learned how to love myself and take good care of myself. I had a satisfying and stimulating career and now I am grateful for every day. As someone said, “It’s never too late to have a happy childhood”. I am now in Italy with my dog Piccolina, studying Italian, living one of my life-long dreams. Thank you to the author, for her excellent overview of trauma and its effects, because you cannot begin to heal until you understand what happened to you. Start the work now, and enjoy your life.

It is always true you get what you pay for. This is even more true in our fast paced media world of free news headlines and marketing focused content that screams look at me! But what I find in Medium and what we collectively need are more knowledge and story exploration which rests upon a single foundation—the pure and simple pleasure of using just your own eyes and imagination to better know, care, and serve one another. After Trump 1.0 I knew Trump 2.0 would destroy me emotionally. CNN, NBC, the New York Times, the Guardian, even Canada’s CBC are headlining Trump or one of his sycophants 24/7 and often as all of the top 5 stories. What’s left that’s moderated, dignified, and dedicated to communicating and talking about news and ideas instead of screeching back and forth into the dark? Medium.com. Writers are passionate, but rational. Commenters are passionate, but rational. And given that Medium content is provided by the world, and not a limited staff of journalists, it is simultaneously covering everything that anyone cares about. And if I want zero Trump, that’s easy to achieve. For the next four years (at least) it’s my primary gateway to human thought.

Literally the only thing I’ve ever needed this app for is to open links to medium articles for work topics. Guess what? Basic functionality, and doesn’t work. I have never once used search function in medium, and I have no idea why I would, over a Google search, so the fact that they automatically link me to the app but refuse to open the article is one of the worst design decisions I’ve seen in a while.

The articles on here are interesting to read but I would say 90% are available to fully read through if you are subscribed :( Expect to pay $5 a month if you want to use this app!

Unless you are famous in Medium, your articles published are not indexed, so nobody can even search your published articles

No joke, I have been searching for a site offering what Medium provides its users for some time. Medium gives people the choice to write and read for free, but also gives you the option to choose paid options if you wish. What is great though is that Medium does not force a paid option upon its users but leaves it up to the users to decide without diminishing the quality of its free account. Super streamlined, super simple, super accessible. Medium is a “blog” site in many senses of the term, but in practice it is more of an open source journalism and educational site. Lots of writers documenting the things they find interesting and valuable in the world and tons of educational / tutorial material. Would recommend in every way.

Extremely user friendly I would recommend this platform to anyone who’s interested in getting the word out

I downloaded because of a story I read and was looking forward to reading more but everything is locked, I can’t find a filter for the free stories. In addition many of the articles that state they are free to read have been put under a pay wall which the author did not want.

Excited about your new medium subscription? Want to download the app like a normal human and read on your phone? Hold up. This app will give you a million ways to sign on, then proceed to give you server errors for days on end. Browser version works fine though. So as long as you’re ok with reading line it’s 2012, you should be fine.

They advertise as free but you can't read stories without becoming a member.

I learn more and find out more about it things I’m interested in and never knew about with web dev, programming, hacking, product engineering, iOS, UX/UI, on Medium than anywhere else! 90% of the articles I get recommended to me are actually interesting and not full of ads! I love learning new things.

Site is hard to navigate….most fiction writers are lousy with sentence structure and some stories are so bad they can’t be read. A logical start page would go a long way to make this site better. A listing of topics and a separate listing of writers and their stories.

Very Buggy on my iPhone. Some articles load and others don’t . Just not user friendly but does have some great articles when you can read them.

This platform is unfair to writers. They constantly find ways to change payment metrics and lower writer salaries. Writers also have to pay to publish on this platform, making it essentially a Ponzi scheme. They have a higher tier membership, under the guise of paying writers more, but I can assure you the writers do not see that money. It’s sad to see writers spend hours a day on this platform working to make much less than $100 a month. In many cases, writers do not even make the $5 membership fee back each month. They pay nothing until you reach a $10 minimum. The CEO refuses to communicate with writers. We all have to guess what is happening. Honestly, they need to be investigated. Please don’t support this awful company.

What I miss is interaction between writers and those who react to their postings. Especially when when the responders have their own writings. I am following those writers whom I am interested in their articles and would love to get their feedback on my comments Yehoram

I love the no distraction interface and simple content tools!

For a company all about writing and sharing, why on earth does your website and app actively work against people finding articles? Reading historical posts is an exercise in futility. Every single time you leave an article it takes you back TO THE TOP of that persons post history. For any content creator who is marginally active it’s basically impossible to read their historical posts. The web version at least remembers where in the list I am for 30ish mins before booting me back to the top. Would give zero stars for this alone. It’s basic stuff like this that drives me crazy. It’s like a calculator with no button for addition, how exactly is this better than a blogpost? It’s not.

I’ve enjoyed using and reading Medium throughout the few years of having it. I’m eager that one of my poems/stories might reach the right audience.
